FULL-TIME DATABASE DEVELOPER
We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Database Developer to join our team. At United Benefits, you will have the opportunity to apply and develop advanced data skills and play an essential role in delivering innovative solutions.
General Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
- Locate and collect data from the appropriate source and analyzes it to prepare meaningful and concise reports that summarize the information.
- Define processes to help embed data analysis throughout product discovery and development.
- Communicate issues, client feedback, and edge case scenarios to the Client Relations team and other relevant team members as appropriate.
- Develop, design, and maintain automation for data processing
- Troubleshooting any issues that arise with new database applications, and providing solutions to implement
- Applying technical design and development skills to the creation of database programs
- Analyzing existing databases and data needs of clients to develop effective systems
- Prioritize and manage multiple assignments based on urgency levels while identifying possible issues preventing task completion in a fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to mine and analyze data to drive optimization and improvement
- Create insightful visualizations (e.g. charts, dashboards)
- Grow and mature the use of our data, ultimately making it a high-value resource within the company

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, or soon-to-be graduate, in Computer Information Systems
- Experience as a data/financial analyst preferred or newly graduated with a CIS degree
- Advance Excel Skills required and other complimentary Microsoft Tools
- Must have experience with Excel Macro Tools and/or JavaScript
- Proficiency in SQL with ability to write complex SQL queries and other features
- Using knowledge of specific programming languages and codes
- Ability to function in a fast-paced work environment with a high sense of urgency
- Salesforce experience is a plus or a willingness to learn
- Thorough knowledge of physical database design and data structures
- In-depth understanding of data management (e.g. permissions, recovery, security, and monitoring)
- Ability to recognize the relationship between data elements
- Knowledge of database objects including tables, indexes, views, and statistics
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capability
