This privacy notice for United Benefits ("Company", "we", "us", or "our") describes how and why we might collect, store, use, and/or share ("process") your information when you use our services ("Services"), such as when you visit our website at unitedbenefits.com or engage with us in other related ways, including any sales, marketing, events, or SMS programs.

We automatically collect device and usage information (e.g., IP address, browser/device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country/approximate location, and information about how and when you use our Services). We also collect information through cookies and similar technologies.

Information collected from other sources

We may obtain mailing addresses, job titles, email addresses, phone numbers, IP addresses, social media profiles/URLs, and interest or intent data from third parties to provide relevant marketing, offers, services, and to keep our records updated.

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process personal information, we will delete or anonymize it. If deletion is not possible (e.g., due to backups), we will securely store and isolate it until deletion is possible.

6. How do we keep your information safe?

In short: We aim to protect your personal information through organizational and technical security measures.

Despite safeguards, no transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. Access the Services within a secure environment and contact us if you have security concerns.

7. Do we collect information from minors?

In short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age.

If we learn that personal information from users under 18 has been collected, we will deactivate the account and delete the data. If you become aware of any data we may have collected from children under 18, please contact us at info@unitedbenefits.com.

8. What are your privacy rights?

Depending on your location, you may have rights such as access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction, portability, and withdrawal of consent. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time using the link in our emails or by contacting us. EEA/UK individuals may lodge complaints with their local supervisory authority; Swiss individuals may contact the FDPIC.

9. Controls for Do-Not-Track features

Because no uniform standard for responding to DNT signals is finalized, we do not currently respond to DNT signals. If a standard is adopted that we must follow, we will update this notice.

10. California residents

In short: California residents have specific rights under the CCPA/CPRA.

We have collected the categories of personal information customary for websites and customer support operations (e.g., identifiers; customer records; internet/network activity; geolocation; professional information). We have not sold personal information in the past twelve (12) months and do not sell personal information. You may request: (i) access/know, (ii) deletion, (iii) correction, and (iv) information about disclosures for a business purpose. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. We may need to verify your identity to process requests, including through an authorized agent.

14. SMS Compliance Privacy Policy (Supplement)

This section supplements, and does not replace, the rest of this Privacy Notice. It applies to our SMS (text messaging) programs.

Information we collect via SMS

  • Mobile Phone Number (to deliver SMS messages).
  • Message Content (messages you send to us and messages we send to you for record-keeping, quality assurance, and to address inquiries or disputes).
  • Consent & Opt-Out Records (date, time, and method of consent; opt-out requests).
  • Delivery Status & Interaction Data (e.g., whether a message was delivered; whether included links were clicked).
  • Limited Device Information (e.g., your mobile carrier, when provided by our SMS service provider). We do not actively collect detailed device identifiers or precise location via SMS.
  • Information You Provide via SMS messages.

How we use SMS information

  • To send you SMS messages you have requested or consented to receive.
  • To provide customer support and troubleshoot issues.
  • To analyze delivery rates, engagement, and program effectiveness to improve our communications.

  • SMS Service Providers who send/manage our messages under contracts requiring appropriate security and use limitations.
  • Legal Authorities when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
  • Business Transfers (e.g., merger or acquisition). If feasible, we will notify you via SMS of changes in ownership or use of your information.
  • Affiliates for the purposes outlined in this policy.
  • With Your Consent for any other disclosures you authorize. Otherwise, we do not share SMS information with third parties.

Your choices and control

  • Opt-Out: Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving SMS. We process opt-outs promptly and will send a confirmation.
  • Opt Back In: Re-subscribe through the original opt-in method (e.g., texting an opt-in keyword or emailing us).
  • Help: Text HELP for information about our SMS program and contact details.

Data security for SMS

We use reasonable safeguards, including secure storage, encryption in transit and at rest where feasible, access controls, and provider contracts requiring appropriate security.

Children’s privacy

Our SMS program is not intended for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children via SMS. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us immediately.

Changes to this SMS supplement

We may update this SMS section from time to time. If material changes occur, we may notify you via SMS where feasible. Your continued use of our SMS program after the effective date indicates acceptance.
