The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) has introduced a major update to the federal retirement process: all new retirement applications signed on or after June 2, 2025, must now be submitted electronically through the Online Retirement Application (ORA) system. This replaces the previous method via the Government Retirement & Benefits (GRB) Platform.
